The article presented here search to describe the structural organization, as well as it comes to discussing the results obtained from the application of the thematic workshop “Homemade Serum: A Daily Life’s Solution” for a class of the high school’s 2º year of public and state school in the Itabaiana’s city, located in the Country region of the Sergipe’s state. The thematic workshop was produced in the context of the Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID), Chemistry Center of the Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS), Campus Professor Alberto Carvalho, throughout the edict 2018. The data were collected from the observations, which were materialized in the diaries, of the dynamics of the students by PIBID’s scholarships holders during the intervention activities, as well as the answers to the questions of the initial and final questionnaire recorded by them. In addition, the research is part of the qualitative approach, and the data were analyzed through the content analysis of Bardin (2016). From the analytical processes, it was noticed that the students had low microscopic comprehension, they didn’t conceptualize the types of solutions correctly, and also had difficulties in reading and writing, thus interfering in the learning of the chemical concepts worked. After finishing the intervention, it was concluded that there was a conceptual improvement by the students on the content and theme, as well as a refinement in the understanding of the types of solutions and the solubility coefficient. Moreover, it was also perceived the need to improve the thematic workshop regarding the microscopic aspects of the dissolution.
