Focus and Scope
The Journal of the Brazilian Society of Chemistry Teaching - ReSBEnQ is an electronic journal of open access, continuous publication within an annual volumes and has as its mission to disseminate original scientific articles on results of empirical or theoretical research and essays, also original, on topics related to Chemistry Education and Chemistry Teaching. Research in chemistry education and teaching is understood as investigations that generate knowledge about the teaching and learning of chemistry, including transversal themes which would be representatives of chemistry borders with other areas of knowledge and about the cultural formation of individuals. Manuscripts can be presented in Portuguese, Spanish and English. At the editors’ discernment, the following texts are also published:
- critical reviews of scientific and academic production in the area;
- theoretical and investigative analyses of innovative practices in Chemistry Education and Teaching;
- Open opinion papers;
- thematic dossiers aimed at reviewing areas and/or analyzing emerging research issues in Chemistry Education and Teaching;
With this publication, we have the following objectives:
- Create opportunities for researchers to publish academic research involving issues and topics related to Chemistry Education and Teaching.
- Offer teachers and professionals of Education and Chemistry Teaching, who work at all levels of education and training, a means of access discussions and debates on issues of cultural formation, pointing to possibilities of approximation and articulation between theory and practice, research, and experiences in different contexts.
