Impacts of Pibid on the Professional Development of the Coordinator and Supervisor

Abstract

In this investigation the marks of the Pibid (Institutional Program of Initiation to Teaching Scholarship) in the process of professional development of two chemistry teachers participating in the program of initiation to pre-service teacher were analyzed. The participants of this investigation were the coordinator Maria and the supervisor Luiza (fictitious names). For data collection, the audiovisual records of the meetings that took place in the Pibid-Chemistry subproject, in which the coordinator and supervisor guided the pibidians, and of semi-structured interviews with the two teachers were carried out. The content analysis was adopted to evaluate the data by means of emerging categories and Atlas.ti program was used to facilitate the analysis process. The results show that the main mark left by Pibid in the formation of Maria was the possibility of mediating the relations between the participants of the subproject and knowing the reality of the school of public education. With regard to the supervisor, Luiza had a strong identification as a co-former of the pibidians.
