About the Journal

The Journal of the Brazilian Society of Chemistry Teaching - ReSBEnQ was idealized as a constitutive part of the process of creation of the Society of Brazilian Chemical Teaching – SBEnQ approved in July 2016, at the XVIII National Conference of Chemistry Teaching - XVIII ENEQ, held at Federal University of Santa Catarina, UFSC, Brazil, and officially founded at the General Assembly held on July 18, 2018, during the XIX ENEQ, at Federal University of Acre, UFAC, Brazil, in which it had the first board elected.

The official act of SBEnQ foundation included the approval of the SBEnQ Statute to rule the organization and to guide actions of the Society, in which the journal constitutes one of its objectives: Title I - Of the Constitution and Purpose, Art. 3 – "To achieve its objective, SBEnQ must, without prejudice to other activities: ... c) Publish a scientific journal of Chemistry Teaching". Thus, ReSBEnQ is a statutory component of SBEnQ and its management and functioning are articulated with the objectives of the Society and of the entire research community in Education and Chemistry Teaching associated to it.

In this sense, ReSBEnQ intends to contribute to the dissemination and increase of the scientific production of a community of researchers, teachers, students, and education professionals working in Chemistry Education and Chemistry Teaching, recognized nationally and internationally for the high quality of work in this area of knowledge.

ReSBEnQ is a continuous publication academic journal which is managed and organized by an Editorial Team, Editorial Board, one editorial assistant and a body of reviewers.
